Pricing structures for charter yachts are variable. The way you choose to use your yacht —and it is your yacht for the duration of your cruise vacation— will determine the total cost. The size and style of your yacht, and the period you would like to charter the yacht will affect the price.
The charter prices are arranged according to the charter seasons which are generally named as “early/low” – (April-May), “mid/middle” (June-September), “high” (July-August) and “late” (October-November).
Motor yacht or sailing yacht bareboat charter rates never include the costs like fuel, food, drinks, transitlog, harbour fees and airport transfers. These are always extra. The prices usually include the boat, insurance and base marina fees.
If you do not have a skipper’s license or if you are not experienced enough for a bareboat charter, you can hire a skipper to accompany you during your trip. The skipper fee will be extra and added on top of the boat’s price on a daily rate.
There is a wide range of the prices of crewed motor yachts. You can rent a 3-cabin motor yacht with a very reasonable daily price or you can hire a very large fully crewed mega yacht at a much higher cost. With this type of charter, the prices usually include the yacht’s rent, crew salaries, yacht insurance and base marina fees; and all the other expenses like fuel, food, drinks, alcohol, crew tips, marina fees and fuel for water toys are extra.
Private gulet charter prices range a lot depending on the size, model, standard of the yacht and charter period. You can rent a standard category motor sailer (traditional Turkish gulet) with no air-conditioning at a very reasonable price. Then your yacht is not a luxury one, but you will have everything you need plus good food, fun, and very good service. On the other hand, you can hire a deluxe class gulet which offers you more luxury than a 5* hotel, but the cost will be higher in accordance with the luxury provided during your holiday.
Private gulet charter prices include the yacht’s hire, crew salaries, diesel, harbour fees and port taxes; but food, drinks (soft and alcoholic) and private marina fees will be extra. If you rent the yacht in Turkey, but choose to visit some greek Islands, too, then the costs will be higher as the formalities will be different and at an extra cost.
A cabin charter holiday may be the cheapest way of experiencing a yacht vacation in Turkey. Altough luxury cabin cruises with higher rates are also available, you can choose a trip on a standard class gulet with a reasonable price.
